Is the EU’s migration partnership approach with African countries balanced?
The implementation of the Valletta Action Plan and the EU Migration Compact for cooperation on migration with African countries are not perceived as balanced or as being conducted in a spirit of true partnership by all parties, writes ECDPM’s experts. How serious is the EU about fighting poverty?
The budget for 2017 proposes maintaining the same level of external spending that was planned when the seven-year budget cycle of the EU was agreed in 2013. A budget, as pointed out by One Campaign, that was clearly not designed to address the new challenges that the world is facing today.
