The startup Anona, specialist of the “free gift” on the internet, has recently launched a campaign to finance the planting of a forest in Zambia. In only one day, the amount necessary to plant 6400 trees has been collected.

What is the free gift? As explained on the website Carenews: “ The startup Anona allows internet users to give gifts to the association without giving money in exchange. As a matter of fact by clicking on the “Botton Anona” present on 50 million web pages, internet users commit to voluntary look at advertising pages, and who has done the advertisement will pay the gift.”.

Anona’s campaign aimed at financing the planting of the forest in Zambia has had a big success. Communicated by the youtuber Léa Camilleri, it has mobilised thousands of internet users, who have seen 50.000 Unilever advertisements in only 24 hours. In total 6400 trees will be planted by the Ngo WeForest. Thanks to this solidarity operation, that has the aim to fight against global warming, but also to offer a job to people in Zambia, Léa Camilleri has obtained the title of Commander of Nature-bronze, reaching the first place in the rank of influencers.
