France has launched the plan "It's my heritage", aiming at enabling all those people who don’t have access to the diversity of the French heritage (architecture, archive, museums, monuments, landscapes…) to discover it.

The general commission for the equality of territories and the ministry for Culture launch together the 13th edition of the plan “The doors of time” , now called “It is my heritage!”. This plan aims at enabling all those people who are very far from all the diversity of the French heritage (architecture, archive, museums, monuments, landscapes…) to discover it. First of all, children and adolescents, from 6 to 18 years old.

Reinforced in 2017, this initiative for artistic and cultural education has the ambition to reach 40,000 young people, all over France, whereas in 2016 it reached 28,000 youth. It will build on local partnerships among youth professionals, among which the working class education network, the culture network and the network of the places where the heritage is based.

The measure supports actions favoring social diversity : the aim is having 60% young people from priority areas invited to discover and to take advantage of the heritage that is around them.
