November 29 is #GivingTuesday: Nove Onlus and Italian Bocce Federation organize the only event in Italy in support of the project "Lend a hand to an Italian"

"Play bocce for Nove Onlus" is an opportunity to celebrate the #GivingTuesday, have fun and contribute to the project "Lend a hand to an Italian." Participants of all ages can prove themselves in a Precision Throw Tournament, led by junior and senior FIB champions. It will be a fundraising event that will support Italians in need.

The appointment is on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 in Rome at the Federal Technical Center of Federbocce at 7.30 pm. The warm-up for beginners and experts will begin at 8pm after a performance of federal champions. Then will follow a Precision Throw Tournament, open to all participants and guided by experts of the FIB. During the prizegiving a buffet will be served.

Everyone can participate by registering online at http://www.noveonlus.org/giocaabocce/ by Sunday 27 November and contribute with a minimum donation of € 45, reduced to € 20 for the under-30. #GivingTuesday, celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving, is a day of reflection that invites everyone - citizens, non-profit organizations and businesses- to rethink solidarity and to participate actively in order to give new strength and vigor to the donation.

It uses the power of social media and generosity to promote donations and philanthropic activities across the world. On this special day Nove Onlus and FIB join forces to share a important project, donate and invite everyone to do the same. The Italian Bocce Federation is recognized by the Italian Ministry of Internal Affairs as a body with charitable purposes throughout sport and promotion social and cultural activities. In the past the Federation had carried out support for leisure and sport activities with the Pediatric Hospital Bambin Gesù in Rome.
The Federation also offers a unique opportunity to share universal values such as solidarity and social inclusion, combined with a real recognition of the difficulties of others through initiatives related to the school in the territories of the difficult social environment and sports activities for the disabled.

Nove Onlus is a non-profit organization that since 2012 engages in humanitarian aid, education and socio-economic development in Italy, Greece, Ethiopia and Afghanistan. It made the choice to work in Italy in order to support those disadvantaged families that attempt to stay afloat without losing their dignity.
