Refugees In Kos

The European Social Innovation Competition's Awards Ceremony will take place in Brussels on 27 October where three winners of €50,000 will be announced.

The ceremony marks the culmination of this year's competition to find innovative ideas to realise the potential of refugees and migrants in Europe. From 1,095 applications, 30 semi-finalists were selected and following an inspiring Social Innovation Academy in Berlin in July the semi-finalists have been working hard to put together their detailed plans.

Three winners of €50,000 will be awarded in the Ceremony on 27 October.

As well as hearing from European Commissioner Elżbieta Bieńkowska, guests will have the opportunity to learn about the ten finalists' solutions to support the successful integration of refugees and migrants, before this year's winners are announced. The winner of the impact prize, awarded to the project from the 2015 competition that achieved the greatest results, will also be presented. The Master of Ceremonies will be Bruno Wattenbergh from Impulse-Brussels Enterprise Agency, and inspiring social innovators from all over Europe will be in attendance!
