What drives a young man born in Western Europe, raised in a middle-class family, to waver, hesitate and finally make the decision to kill for the sake of Islam? Following the terror attacks in Paris, Brussels and Istanbul, just to mention some, we have a responsibility to ask the right questions to get the correct answers on how to effectively counter radicalisation. What went wrong in Molenbeek? Have we turned a blind eye to fundamentalism? Do we shy away from debating the role of Islam in the radicalisation process of young Muslims? In order to do so, we gather experts and professionals to talk about how radicalisation may lead to extremism and terrorism. A discussion will be held on strategies to counter radicalisation in Brussels, Belgium and beyond.
