The European Commission's Directorate General for research and innovation is organising a conference for projects selected under the Horizon 2020, EURO 2014 call "Overcoming the crisis: new ideas, strategies and governance structures for Europe".

Horizon 20207

Who is in charge of Europe? What are the main challenges? How are our democracies changing and our governments able to re-create Europe? Is peace between our peoples in Europe at risk? Can Europe be only a mere economic ambition? What does a Social Triple A mean for the EU? This is what scholars from different disciplines and countries but working together in funded European research projects under Horizon 2020 will discuss.

The European Commission's Directorate General Research and Innovation, Unit B6 "Reflective Societies" is organising a conference for projects selected under the Horizon 2020, EURO 2014 call "Overcoming the Crisis: New Ideas, Strategies and Governance Structures for Europe". At the conference day, project representatives will discuss the various issues they were selected to address, e.g. a resilient and sustainable economic and monetary union in Europe; the European Growth Agenda; European societies after the crisis and political challenges for Europe.

The conference will be followed by a half-day management related meeting for EURO-2014 projects, organised by the Research Executive Agency, Unit B3 "Inclusive, Innovative and Reflective Societies".
